At 8 a.m., I gave an AI agent a specific assignment: find 20 potential leads for our OneSurvey campaign aimed at system integrators. The criteria were already defined. So was the process for deciding what should move forward.
The agent began sourcing candidates, evaluating their background, and ranking potential fit. It routed candidates into intake for the next review. Within hours, I observed two candidates pass our initial qualification criteria and progress to the next stage.
That was an internal working session at Innova. It was an early signal about the workflow, and it left me with a question: if AI can prepare this much of the work, where should I put my attention?
The work started before the instruction
“Find 20 leads” sounds simple. A useful brief has to say what a lead means for this offer. Which organizations fit? What would make the offer relevant to them? What evidence supports that judgment?
For this campaign, the offer was OneSurvey and the audience was system integrators. The assignment belonged to a defined B2B sales motion. That context gave the research a direction and gave us criteria we could inspect.
This is the starting point behind Dotalyn: connect what you know about your offer to the work required for a customer conversation. The quality of the brief matters throughout the process.
Keep the reason attached to the work
A candidate name is the beginning of the research. A reviewer also needs to understand why that account fits and what remains uncertain. When a message is drafted, the relevant evidence should travel with it.
Dotalyn is designed to connect offer context and sourced account research with evidence-linked messaging. A person can then review the proposed recipient and the exact message before authorizing consequential outreach. The sales handoff should carry the account story forward.
That continuity is the practical idea. Each stage should receive enough context to make the next decision reviewable. A draft, a source, and an approval record belong to the same commercial thread.
What stays with us?
My attention belongs on the decisions that give the work its purpose. Is this the right buyer for the offer? Does the evidence justify the message? Is the proposed next step appropriate for this account?
The human role continues after the draft is ready. We decide what we are willing to say and authorize. We take responsibility for the conversation that follows.
As AI prepares more work, a team also needs to understand its review load. A process that produces drafts still needs a person who can assess them. Review effort is part of what we need to measure in Dotalyn’s internal use.
Imagination needs a decision loop
Dotalyn began with a question: could AI help prepare a focused commercial workflow while keeping the evidence and human decisions visible? Building the system gave that question a concrete form we could inspect and test.
I use a related discipline in Your Idea Forge: turn an idea into assumptions that can be challenged. Research can reveal gaps in the idea. A small test can show what people actually do when they encounter it.
The same discipline belongs in a sales campaign. Imagine a useful offer. Challenge the buyer assumptions. Decide what deserves a test. Build a small workflow and learn from the response. Each pass should inform the next decision.
Define a useful offer.
Inspect the assumptions.
Authorize a bounded test.
Prepare the workflow.
Review what happened.
What the morning tells us
The two candidates that progressed tell me that this internal assignment produced work we could move into the next stage. They do not establish customer demand or a revenue result. We still need to learn how much review the process requires and whether the resulting conversations are useful.
Those questions shape Dotalyn’s development. We are testing a focused commercial workflow through internal use at Innova. The results described here are my observations from that work; they are not an independent customer case study.
What would you ask Dotalyn to prepare?
Start with an offer you can explain and a buyer you want to understand. Bring the sales step that currently takes your attention, such as account research or message review. We can use that context to discuss where Dotalyn may fit.
In a walkthrough, we’ll trace the work from the initial brief through the evidence a reviewer needs. You’ll have a concrete way to assess the workflow against your own sales motion.
